Welcome to Green Plum Tai Chi Chuan - Palmerston Northern Territory.
Wu Style Tai Chi has two styles - the Square Form and the Round Form.
Square Form
The Square Form is the learning and teaching style where each form or technique is broken down into simplified elements that are easy to follow by the student. Mastering each of these simplified forms allows the student to understand how their body and mind fit together in Tai Chi Chuan movement.
Round Form
In the Round Form the student learns the Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan in smooth flowing spiraling movement.
“Once you begin to move, the entire body must be light and limber. Each part of your body should be connected to every other part”
“The internal energy, ch’i, roots at the feet, then transfers through the legs and is controlled from the waist, moving eventually through the back to the arms and finger tips”
“In stillness there is movement, in movement there is stillness”
Chang San-Feng: Tai Chi Classics I a Treatise. (ca. 1200 C.E.)
